No Bake Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Pretzel Granola Bars:
I don’t know about your kids buy my boys are always asking for those little chocolate chip granola bars at the grocery store.
They are just so expensive for that tiny box. I decided it was time to try to make them myself and save some money!
These are the perfect bit of sweet and salty for a great little snack. You can cut them into little bars and put them in a zip lock bag and add them to any sack lunch! All 3 of my boys and my husband just loved these! My 12 year old step son took some to school and shared with one of his friends who also really enjoyed them!

Recipe type: Dessert
½ cup unsalted butter ½ cup light brown sugar ½ cup peanut butter ½ cup honey 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 4 cups quick oats 1½ cups pretzels (broken into small pieces) 1 cup rice crispy cereal ½ cup mini chocolate chips Chocolate Almond Bark
Ingredients
- In a large saucepan mix on medium/low heat butter, brown sugar, peanut butter and honey stirring until it starts to bubble. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Add quick oats, pretzels, cereal mix till well coated and ¼ cup of the mini chocolate chips.
- Put a layer of parchment paper in a 9 x 13 pan. Put mixture in the 9 x 13 pan press even with hands. (to prevent the mixture from sticking to my hands I sprayed them with a tiny bit of Pam.) Allow to cool for a few minutes then sprinkle remaining mini chocolate chips and press then into the mixture with your hands.
- Melt about 4 chopped squares of Almond Bark in a double boiler. Pour melted chocolate on top of granola. Place in the refrigerator and allow chocolate to harden.
- Cut into squares or rectangles and enjoy!
