bloomin onion directions

Mine looked NOTHING like these pictures…..first the batter was to runny and came right off in the hot oil…then I made it to thick…then I watered it down and it seemed to be better..but the onions all fell apart.  However after I got the onion out of the oil they weren’t crispy at all.  The flavor was great but the texture wasn’t what I was wanting.
I’m not sure  how to fix this PLEASE HELP!!  COMMENTS ARE WELCOME AND NEEDED!!! 🙂
