Newman’s Own Organic Product Review and Giveaway

Newman’s Own Organics was established as a division of Newman’s Own in 1993. It became a separate company in late 2001. Great tasting products that happen to be organic is the slogan of Newman’s Own Organics: The Second Generation. Headed by Paul Newman’s daughter, Nell Newman the company is developing products from certified organic ingredients. All the products are packaged in a distinctive, eye-catching way and feature an amusing photo of an American gothic “Pa” Newman and daughter Nell plus a fanciful story.
“We want to offer organic food products with wide consumer appeal,” says Nell. “We fell that people want to know more about the food they eat, not just how much fat or cholesterol a product contains. How ingredients are grown and processed on the way to their grocers’ shelf is becoming more important to today’s consumer. Once people see how much organic foods have improved since the early days of packaged `health’ foods, we hope they’ll try other organic food products.”
I am so excited to tell you about the wonderful Newman’s Own Organic products! The first thing the kids and I did were open the chocolate chip cookies. It wasn’t long before the bag was empty! I wasn’t sure how organic snacks were going to taste but I have to tell you Newman’s Own Organics are going to be regular snacks at our house from now on!
My husband took the Peppermint Cups and the Sour Cherry Licorice Twist to work. He said all the guys at work were jealous. He said eating the Peppermint Cups was what he would imagine it would be like in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory! 😉
This past weekend I took the Fig Newman’s to a family get together and the kids ate them up in just a few minutes. They were a HUGE hit with everyone of the kids!
I also love love love the Wintergreen Mints..they aren’t to strong. They have a perfect wintergreen taste. They will be a staple in my purse!!
I would have to say that our family favorites were:

The kids: The Newman-O’s Creme Filled Chocolate Cookies
Me: The Wintergreen mints and the Sour Strawberry Licorice Twists 🙂
