Every Thanksgiving we gather with out loved ones and think about the things we are thankful for. This year I changed things up a bit. On the table by our front door I placed a bowl of construction paper leaves along with a pen and string. I asked everyone to write on at least one leaf something they were thankful for and hang it from our Thankful Tree. It makes a beautiful decoration to our family gathering and we can all look at the things people are thankful for and be thankful for them too.
What you will need to make your own Thankful Tree
Cardboard roll (I used a paper towel roll)
Paint is optional, I painted my cardboard roll with brown spray paint
Twigs from outside
Construction Paper
String
Scissors
Pen
I’m thinking this could be really cute for Christmas too…Just find a small Christmas tree and make paper “lights” and everyone can write things they are thankful for on the lights and hang them on the tree! 🙂
