Cleopatra’s Choice Review

  I was given the opportunity to try two great products from Cleopatra’s Choice.

The first product is the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Soap:

• Great for Eczema, Psoriasis or Acne!
• Adovia Mud Soap removes dirt and cleanses your skin, while simultaneously infusing it with minerals essential to keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized.
• Enriched with century old Dead Sea mud, leaving your skin cleansed and nourished
• The mud soap gently cleanses away oil, bacteria and dirt particles, leaving skin purified, detoxified and fully cleansed.
• Note: This soap has been found effective at relieving acne.
• Directions: Apply daily to face and/or body and rinse. Avoid contact with eyes.The soap has been amazing.  I love using it before I shave my legs..it has these small particles in the soap that help exfoliate my skin.  If I use this soap before I shave my legs, my legs feel much smoother and softer!  
  Here are some more detailed notes on this soap and what it’s good for:1. Antibacterial action. Bacteria don’t thrive in either acidic or alkaline renvironments. For this reason, the best antibacterial soaps are either one or the other when mixed with water. Sulfur soaps and Dudu-Osun are highly antibacterial. Dead Sea mud does not appear to be very antibacterial, however.
  2. Skin irritation. The highly alkaline Dudu-Osun soap can be very caustic, leading to skin irritation. This product is very mild. I can leave it on for 10-20 minutes with no problems.  
  3. Exfoliation. Exfoliants remove dead skin cells, clearing pores and letting the skin breathe. They can be either mechanical (from scrubbing) or chemical (as with alpha hydroxy acid). This product, with its silt, is a mechanical exfoliant. I rate it as a pretty good one. And, of course, many others have spent the last thousands of years using Dead Sea silt for exactly this reason.
  4. Anti-inflammatory. The salts in Dead Sea mud, especially magnesium salt, have an anti-inflammatory action. They help to reduce the swelling from acne and other sores.   

  The other product I received is the Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask:

  When I first used this mask I was a little nervous because my face burned a little bit while it was on.  It felt the same way my skin did when I used  to clean it with Rubbing Alcohol.  However, the burning stopped and when I cleaned it off my face with the warm water my skin was NOT dried out at all but felt VERY clean and refreshed!  It gently cleans, does not dry out my skin, and leaves my face feeling soft. It is simple to use and easy to clean up.  You  have to make sure you leave it on till it is dry!!

  I highly recommend these products to anyone, especially people with skin troubles!  I have mixed issues with my skin..some days it is very dry and others very oily.  I never know which way my skin will be and with these products it doesn’t matter, they don’t try out my skin!
