Bunk bed for 3 boys

My husband and I spent months trying to figure the best way to get 3 boys in one bedroom.  We had Devin, our oldest (11 year old) on the top bunk, Isaiah our middle (3 year old) on the bottom bunk and Jude the youngest (22 months) in the crib.  I have been dreaming of getting rid of the crib and making more room in the boys bedroom for them to play.
Our solution was a trundle bed for Jude…our problem the trundle didn’t fit under Isaiah’s bed.

 we built the new frame and attached it to the old bunk bed frame.
Stage three of our building project:

I went and got batting and fabric and covered the exposed wood from the frame of Isaiah’s bed..Jude’s bed now slides nicely underneath.
When Jude is awake we just pull the covers up and roll the bed under opening up more playing room for the boys! 🙂
